Sandals Worthy of Your Pretty ToesMarch 8, 2017

Birds are chirping and Azaleas are blooming! It is time to set your toes free, and they are worthy of much more than a flip-flop. Save your thongs for your trip to the nail salon, and adorn your freshly painted toes with embroidery, fringe, metallics, or a simple strappy style. Cult favorite, K Jacques, can be found at Ann Mashburn’s Houston boutique, and are synonymous with French Riviera style. Theses strappy sandals are simple and chic, and will easily compliment a summer dress or jeans-and-a-tee. Similarly, Ancient Greek Sandals come in braided, wrap, and metallic styles. I am also loving Antik Batik’s Parisian sandals that have an eclectic feel.

Some sandals on the runway and in The Webster don’t serve to complement your outfit; they become the focus of it. This season’s sandal exhibits bright colors, interesting shapes, platforms, and even pearls! With the shoe as the concentration of your ‘look,’ pair with subdued or neutral pieces that let the shoe “shine.” Gucci’s sandals on the left are embellished with pearls, and I can’t wait to style an outfit around these beauties. The Stella McCartney flatform pair may seem wild, but they translate to a neutral when worn with any of your favorite jeans, shorts, or daytime dresses. Valentino brought back their signature gladiator studded sandals, but in a new color for Spring. Bright orange leather will bring a pop to your spring wardrobe. The Webster also carries Ancient Greek slides, seen on the far right. Spring’s sandals won’t last in the stores much longer, so get to shopping! (Or have me do it for you!) If you do set out to shop sandals in town, check out Indulge Décor for Joie and Antik Batik, Ann Mashburn for K Jacques and Castañer, The Webster for Gucci and Stella McCartney, The Montrose Shop, and Kick Pleat!
